Chest: With the jacket zipped up and laid flat, measure straight across the front from one underarm seam to the other.

Shoulder Width: Measure across the back from the outer edge of one shoulder seam to the other.

Hips (Bottom Hem): Measure around the fullest part of your hips to ensure the jacket’s bottom hem will fit comfortably. (Alternatively, measure the width of the jacket’s bottom hem and compare.)

Chest: Zip up the shell jacket and lay it flat. Measure across the front from one underarm seam to the other.

Shoulder Width: Measure across the back between the points where each shoulder seam meets the sleeve.

Hips (Bottom Hem): Measure around the fullest part of your hips (or compare the width of the jacket’s bottom hem) to be sure the jacket’s bottom opening will accommodate you.

Hips (Bottom Hem): Measure around your hips at the level where the jacket ends to ensure the hem will fit comfortably (the chest and hem measurements are the same for this style).

Waist: Measure around your waist where the waistband of the pants will sit. For elastic waist pants, note both the relaxed measurement (unstretched waistband) and the stretched measurement (maximum comfortable stretch). Ensure your waist measurement falls within this range.

Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and buttocks. This is to make sure the pants have enough room at the hip. (You can also measure the width of a pair of pants at the hip and double it.)

Inseam: Measure from the crotch seam down to the bottom of the leg (inside leg length). It can help to measure a pair of pants that fit you well, from the crotch to the hem along the inside seam.

Waist: Measure around your waist where the pants are meant to sit. (This shell pant is designed to sit at the waist or slightly above the hips.) Make sure the measured circumference matches the chart’s waist measurement for your size.

Hips: Measure around the widest part of your hips/buttocks to ensure the pants will fit comfortably through the seat.

Inseam: Measure the inside of your leg from the crotch down to the ankle (or desired pant hem length). You can also measure the inseam on a pair of pants that fits you well and use that length as a reference.
