Product Care
Your BUSI pieces are built to last. Wash less, air out more, and follow the care label sewn into the garment. Below are the routines we use ourselves – by product type.
Shell & padded outerwear
Corp 3L Jacket & Pant · Core Jacket Padded · Cord Jacket · Biggie Pant Padded · Mikkel & Skjomming Pro Pants
Washing
- Machine wash cold (30°C, gentle cycle).
- Wash inside out with all zippers and velcro closed.
- Use a technical outerwear detergent – never bleach or fabric softener, they break down waterproof coatings and membranes.
- Wash separately from everyday clothes to avoid abrasion.
Drying
- Hang dry in a warm, ventilated space.
- If the care label allows, tumble dry on low heat – it helps reactivate the DWR finish.
- Keep away from radiators and direct heat.
Waterproofing
- When water stops beading on the fabric, reapply a PFC-free DWR spray or wash-in treatment.
- Check seams, zippers, gaiters and cuffs for wear now and then.
Storage
- Store hanging, never compressed for long periods.
- Cool, dry place, away from damp and prolonged sunlight.
Down
Puffer Jacket
- Spot clean when possible.
- If a full wash is needed: front-loading washer, cold, gentle cycle, down-specific detergent, zippers closed, inside out. No bleach or softener.
- Tumble dry on low with clean tennis balls or dryer balls to restore loft. Dry thoroughly – damp down clumps. Do not air dry alone.
- Store loosely, never compressed for long. Shake out occasionally.
- Reapply a PFC-free DWR spray after extended use to keep light water resistance.
Denim & cord
Biggie Jean · Biggie Cord Pant · Cord Shorts
- Wash sparingly to keep fit and colour. Cold wash inside out when needed, with similar colours.
- Denim-friendly or mild detergent. No bleach.
- Hang dry only – tumble drying shrinks and fades.
- Iron on medium heat inside out if needed.
Shorts, tees & bags
Biggie Shorts · tees · Croc Tote
- Machine wash cold, inside out, with similar colours.
- Do not bleach. Do not tumble dry. Air dry.
- Iron on low heat if needed – avoid prints and embroidery.
- Do not dry clean.
Beanies, gloves & neckwarmers
- Hand wash cold with mild detergent, or machine wash cold in a laundry bag on a wool/gentle cycle.
- Do not wring. Reshape and dry flat.
- Gloves: air dry only, never on a radiator – heat stiffens the leather and palm materials.
Three rules that cover everything
- Wash less, air out more – it extends the life of your clothes.
- Always follow the care label sewn into the garment.
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
